So, I noticed that Amazon was having a "Secret Sale" right now.  I'm not sure how secret it is, since it's right there in the Today's Deals section of the site.  But, I'll be honest with you here, I don't care.  It's a fantastic excuse to go shopping!  I found a beautiful 14k White or Yellow Gold Diamond Ring that is actually 74% off!  That's a savings of $257.41!?!  Take a peak and I think you'll agree that Amazon must be insane.

I was looking for suggestions for finding special rings when hoganfe, on Twitter, suggested a combination (like Aqua and Red).  That was enough to get me looking around and it resulted in my finding a brilliant Black Opal 14K Ring.

You should really go look at the auction on eBay because there are six, or so, pictures that really show how dynamic the play-of-color is in this stone.  What a unique ring!  The buy it now price is $284.62, down from $379.50 and you can also make an offer on the ring, if you feel like a lucky haggler.

The metal is 14k yellow gold and the stone is an Australian black opal in an oval shape.  The stone is 1.59 carat.  Here are some more notes from the auction:
