So, I was inspired by @melange4d's great button rings last week so I went hunting around Amazon for something similar. I mean, I actually wasn't expecting much, because it seems like more of a crafting sort of thing, but you never know, right? Anyway, as you probably know, I have the attention span of a squirrel. I start doing something and then if something shiny flies by I'm chasing it. So, I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you that I got distracted about 2 minutes into my button ring search. But, I think it was a good distraction. This Sterling Silver and Marcasite Button Dome Ring is pretty cute!
In case you were wondering what Marcasite is, it's a sort of crystal that's related to Pyrite. But, when folks describe gems in jewelry as Marcasite, they actually mean Pyrite because Pyrite is really brittle. Anyway, it has a really unique look. Almost like a smoky quartz or something.
