Well, it's been ages since I've posted anything.  But, I'm fresh from holiday and motivated to do some shopping!  So, I went looking for some new cocktail rings that I just can't live without.  That's when I found 1928 Jewelry's storefront on Amazon.  These rings have a real vintage style to them, but they are priced right for this gal!  Check out how many you can get your hands on for less than $20.  Now that's putting me back in the Christmas spirit!

So, normally I know that I'm all about trying to help you look fabulous on a budget.  I don't often talk about rings that are more than $100, unless they are exceptionally beautiful.  But, you never know who might be reading, right?  I mean, what if some bored countess was reading my blog and she was looking for a great deal on something incredibly lavish?  Well, I don't want to let her down, right?  Nope.

I saw a picture of this cute little ring today and I just had to post it to my blog.  I had just watched the Hayao Miyazaki  movie, Ponyo, over the weekend and this ring seemed like something right out of that movie.  Or maybe one of his other great movies like Spirited Away or Totoro.  It's just adorable!

Also, it seems like it could either grant wishes or give you some sort of magical powers.  Heh... ok, maybe that's a little much, but it definitely has extra cuteness powers.  I guess I'm going to have to start looking at more jewelry from Eternal Sparkles.  If this ring is any indication, then they must have some really great stuff!

After focusing on inexpensive rings for the last few posts, I wanted to indulge my "sweet tooth" for some decadent jewelry.  But, and I'm blaming this on summer, I still wanted to look at cocktail rings.  Something about the sun makes me want to hop from patio to patio, sipping cocktails and mingling all the way.

So, when I went hunting for some new jewelry this morning I knew two things:

1. I had my heart set on a cocktail ring
2. I was craving Topaz for some reason

I can't explain it, but I knew there was a beautiful topaz cocktail ring out there and I just had to see it.  Now, I'm not sure I can afford this little beauty, but that doesn't mean I can't leave my browser window open to this page and fantasize all day long.  *sigh*  Some day, beautiful topaz ring.  Some day you will be mine!

Anyway, the ring is 10k yellow gold and the stones are Citrine, Pink Tourmaline and White Topaz.  I think I had more to say about it, but I keep looking at the picture and getting slightly hypnotized.  Take a peak for yourself.

I guess the good thing about being away from the Internet for almost a month is that when you get back there's all sorts of new pretties to check out! So, sometimes I wonder if the phrase "Cocktail Ring" isn't just secret code for "gaudy and tacky".  I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my kitsch as much as the next girl, but oftentimes these cocktail rings aren't even fun for irony's sake.  Well, thank goodness for Avalaya.  They've made some delightful cocktail rings that can be celebrated with no irony necessary.  Sure, they are a little over-the-top, but that's sort of the point, right?  And, anyways, as long as they are over-the-top gorgeous, I'm sure not complaining.
