So a week or so ago, I tweeted about this Multicolor CZ Cocktail Ring on Amazon.  Let me show you a picture and you'll understand where I'm coming from here.

At the time, I'm pretty sure I was poking fun at this ring.  I mean, look at it!  It's like somebody just didn't know when to stop.  It's like how you can't force yourself not to slow down and look at a car crash.  I mean, you know it's going to be terrible, but you just have to see exactly how terrible it's going to be.

Well, I think I looked one time too many because now I can't get this ring out of my head.  I mean, sure, it's still pretty over the top, but then I found myself admiring the person who came up with this thing.  There's just something to be said for a designer with this much chutzpah.  I can almost visualize the design session.  Some tiny eastern European  (or possibly South American) man with a flamboyant scarf, a woman's first name  and a giant mustache is frantically scribbling on a whiteboard and muttering to himself, "We have to get MORE into this ring!  We just HAVE to!"

Congratulations Lynn.  You did it!  It's a disaster that I just can't look away from.

I really dig on this ring because it reminds me of that clockwork owl from the old Clash of the Titans movie.  The ring is cast in pewter and adorned with some dazzling Austrian crystals and etched German glass.  I've always been a fan of Mary Demarco's creations.  Heck, and for under $40, it is sure cheaper than those crazy robot hamsters.  Also, I think it might be cuter, as well.  But, I'll let you be the judge of that.  Mr. Squiggles is a close second place.

So, I was on a quest for Aqua today and I'm glad I was because I'm not sure how I would have found this Glass Dichroic Ring otherwise.

The ring appears to be all one piece of glass and the Aqua dichroic color (the color of the ring will vary depending on how the light hits it) is amazing.  The small ring is the same as a 5.5-6.5 ring size, but it looks like you can get it in medium and large as well.  It's hard to get much more unique for only $19.
